Council Rankings

Prioritizing City Services and Programs

The council spent the afternoon last Friday, prioritizing city services and programs. The council ranked six broad categories — public safety, transportation and community, development, neighborhood and utility services. The council then ranked 66 specific programs within those categories. The results will be available in about a week, City Manager Chris Brady said.

The public will have the same opportunity to rank the services at six community meetings starting Tuesday. Brady will take the results of the council’s prioritization and the public’s comments to draft his own recommended list of $25 million in cuts.
