Here's and invitation from: Andrew P. Thomas Maricopa County Attorney

As chief prosecutor for Maricopa County, I invite you to participate in our first Neighborhood Summit. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, along with the Avondale, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Goodyear, Mesa, Peoria, Scottsdale, Surprise, and Tempe Police Departments, will be presenting a series of classes designed to better inform citizens about some of the most important issues in the fight against crime. Topics to be discussed include: Identity Theft, Nuisance Abatement, and Elder Fraud Prevention. Additionally, a complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided to summit attendees.

Participants in the summit will learn about the roles of the various agencies involved in detecting and prosecuting criminal activity. I believe it is important for law enforcement personnel to show citizens the steps they can take to reduce their chances of becoming a victim of crime. By working together with the criminal justice system, citizens can learn how to make their neighborhoods a safer place to live. I am confident that the classes offered at the summit will help give citizens the knowledge they need to better protect themselves. I hope you will join us.
